Deakin University Sustainability Report

In 2016 Streamline Media was approached by the Sustainability Team at Deakin University to help change their reporting format to a contemporary online, accessible format.

About the project

Streamline developed a video that not only engaged their audience, it redefined how modern reporting should be communicated. Deakin’s audience can sit and watch an engaging and informative report whilst having lunch or a coffee, rather than reading a 100 page booklet. The sustainability team are a modern, forward thinking team. Innovation is one of their greatest strengths and they were open to suggestions and using a completely different format to what had been done before. The result, a highly regarded video report on their achievements over the past year. Streamline Media now creates a video report every year for the sustainability team at Deakin University.

What we loved about the project

Working with an open minded, innovative client.  

Getting to know how Deakin University is an industry leader in reducing their footprint on the world and passing that knowledge on to the future leaders.  

Lots of laughs and easy going nature of the team at Deakin. 

 

The Challenges

Changing formats from written reports to video reports was hard work, but worth the challenge in every aspect.

  • 01 – Aerial filming on 3 campuses across Victoria.
  • 02 – Using non-actors.
  • 03 – Converting written report to video.
  • 04 – High-quality motion graphics to depict a story.
  • 05 – Filming all footage in cinematic lighting.
